Recognizing the phenomenal economic growth by the Asian countries in the past few decades, the African Union (AU) sought to learn from their successes. A forum was organized in Sandton South Africa in 2005 by the AU incorporating the African and Asian countries with representatives from the Asian Productivity Organization (APO). At this forum, an agreement was reached to transfer knowledge from the Asian countries to African countries. This program identified the urgency of transforming African businesses into world class competitive businesses. Prompted by the government’s bureaucratic red tape hindering the implementation of the identified priorities to spar growth, it became obvious that this could only be effectively executed by the private sector. In addition the business fraternity realized the need for implementing efficiency and effectiveness in their approaches to business, and demanded the same. Furthermore, the trainers from APO and the Africans who had been trained in this efficiency and effectiveness management sought a platform on which to practice what they believed in. Thus, the need of starting a productivity and consulting firm to fill this gap was born. Productivity Consulting Limited company was formed and registered in Kenya in April 2010.

Primarily our target clients are local business enterprises, public institutions and non-governmental organizations (NGO). This group of clients is most hard hit by globalization. For such organizations to survive in a globally competitive economy they must be efficient and effective in their processes.
